Blah, Blah, Blah!
Have you heard any of these before?
  • We provide outstanding customer service
  • We pride ourselves on our reputation
  • We care
  • We go above and beyond
  • We listen to our customers

Do you believe me just because I say it?  Somehow I doubt it, yet many of you are using similar bland slogans to explain what you do.  Stop using the blah, blah, blah approach.

In a recent consultation with a client, he told me he used the shotgun approach in his marketing.  We both laughed when I told him there was a better way and he wouldn't need a gun license.  I encourage you to review the above list and make sure what you are saying answers the question "how do you do that". 

It starts with getting clarity around what you are truly really, really great at.  So what are you great at?  It is often quite different than what you think.  What would it be like to be blah-less?  Can you imagine explaining what you do, so that others really get what is unique about your business and the service you provide?  It is possible ask me how?
